Ontario Elections

Voter Turnout for Ontario elections is at an all time low, especially at the local level.  It is the Municipal governments that deal with most of our day to day issues and in theory is the easiest government to interact with.  It may be because most elections in Canada use the First past the post system which often favours the status quo.

There have been attempts and promises to change the way we vote however it is often never action or rolled backed by the next government as they prefer the method that got them elected into office.

It has never been so important that we as Canadians take time to not only understand and education ourselves about our democratic process but also participate in it.  We can no longer remain as quiet sheep if we want to retain many of the core values that make us Canadian.
